The title for this blog

This is part of the quote from Joseph Campbell that illumined my thinking about some important questions I had been mulling.

The Japanese part is the kana I recognize so far.

Why read?

The quote says it all.

Ride

Will write about this soon.

Buying 2 ebooks and 2 blu-rays discs is not accomplishing something. I did write a little in my short story about the twilight zone. I seek also what is obviously not found at once, but lies within something of another nature. I dreamed about my trickster last night. I hope my trickster is ultimately on my side. Otherwise I am in big trouble. and I thought about the trickster, how I have feared not to conform, feared the possibility of criticism, but also I have always despised rules that are stupid, that are merely for control. I have been eager to mock that-- witness the Big Jerk Monumental Barricade. as for the "accomplishment" of buying: I bought A Wrinkle in Time (saw an article about it and my heart needed it), Jung's Map of the Soul by Murray Stein and the two Matrix sequels. Oh, yes, I also ordered V for Vendetta graphic novel. obviously I am about 18 years old inside. and I don't think that's so bad.
I seek knowledge and experience. I'm studying. I'm thinking. and I am increasingly drawn to science fiction as a way of understanding and expressing what I am fascinated with.
